Can You Change The Band On A Fitbit Charge?

Do all Fitbit Charge use the Same Band?

Fitbit Charge has designed its bands to fit both Fitbit Charge 3 and New Charge 4. Although Fitbit in Charge series similarly resemble each other their bands come in two bands.

The first option is a 5.5 to a 7.1-inch band that is suitable for people with small wrists. While the second is large and good for wrists 7.1 to 8.7 inches.

How do You Change the Band on a Fitbit Charge 5?

Charge 5 features two bands. The top band and bottom band. The bands are removable and thus can be interchanged with commercial bands. Here is how you can change the band on Fitbit Charge 5.

  • Find the band latches by turning over the fitness tracker.
  • With your nails, press the button toward the tracker. This will let go of the latch.
  • Easily pull the band from the activity tracker.
  • Repeat the same procedure to remove the other band.

After removing the band you will want your new one. Putting a new band on your Fitbit Charge 5 is as easy as; pressing the bands to the ends of the tracker until a click sound is heard. When the band clicks it means the bands have snapped into position. Do one side per time. Straps the feature pegs and loops attach to the Charge’s top.

How do You Change the Band on a Fitbit Charge 4?

Here is how to replace the Fitbit Charge 4 band;

  • Turn the activity tracker over
  • Press the latch button to release the band
  • Pull the band from the tracker with ease
  • Do the same for the side of the tracker
  • Slide the latches of your new strap into the tracker. Once the tracker is placed you should hear a click meaning the band is locked in Fitbit.
  • Repeat the same to the other side of the tracker.

Note! The bands for Fitbit Charge 4 come in two parts. So, both parts should be attached or removed from Fitbit separately.

Are Charge 2 and Charge 3 Bands the Same?

Although Fitbit Charge 2 and Charge 3 slightly look alike the two activity trackers don’t come with similar bands.

So, can you change the band on a Fitbit charge 2? Yes, you can change the strap on your Fitbit Charge 2, and here is a step-by-step guide to help you change the band on your Fitbit Charge 2;

  • Turn over the Fitbit and with your fingers push the latches locking the band in the tracker
  • Repeat the above instruction on the band. In case after pressing the latches, the band doesn’t release from the Fitbit try wiggling the tracker gently and then try removing the band.
  • Take the new strap and hold it above the pegging side of Fitbit. Slide the band down unit a click sound is heard meaning the band is firmly fixed to the tracker. Repeat the procedure on the other band.

How to Clean Your Fitbit Charge Band
